Sunday evening, Paul Knox and Jeff Scott Gould joined the crew at KatManDu Trenton to help host and raise awareness for a very serious cause... Many of us... Including myself... Have had a family member or friend who had to fight the big "C". Well... Care Couture came up with a fantastic idea to help raise donations by putting on a hair art runway show. Welcome to the First Annual Care Couture event!
Who is “Care Couture”?
We are a Team of individuals who "Care" and are in the business of designing, producing, and promoting trend-setting events that integrate the "Couture" style of art and fashion to raise awareness and dollars for charitable causes.
We are very excited about this year’s cause! Bringing awareness of FREE wigs for cancer victims. Over the last 3 years I have watched several friends go through the beginning and (thankful) successful finish line of fighting the “big C.”
The common occurrence for all was the loss of their hair and for most people, our identity is our hair! When you describe someone you usually start with “she/he has brown hair” etc. It’s bad enough to have to deal with this horrid disease, but to also take away your identity just flat out sucks!
Then let’s talk about the Wig. Wig’s price out anywhere from $250 and upwards and that usually does not include the styling of the wig and so the Care Couture Team was created to bring awareness and raise dollars to support organizations that provide FREE Wigs and styling to individuals with the “Big C”.
